Terms of Service

BeefHQ is a farm management and market information app for New Zealand livestock farmers. It provides processor schedule information, price forecasts, livestock and paddock records, task management, reporting, tax summary preparation and health & safety document tools.

Schedule information, forecasts and news are available at no cost. Farm management features require a paid subscription.

You must provide accurate information when signing up and keep your login secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account, including activity by workers you invite. You must be at least 18 years old, or have authority to bind the farm business you are signing up on behalf of.

Paid plans are offered on monthly and annual billing cycles. Current plans and prices are shown on the Go Pro screen in the app. Prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST where applicable. We may change prices, but we will give you notice before a change affects your renewal.

Each plan includes limits on the number of farms and workers, as shown on the plan you select. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal; changes take effect at your next billing date.

New subscribers may be offered a 30-day free trial. Please read this carefully:

• You will not be charged during the trial period.
• Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically continue and your payment method will be charged the standard price for the plan you chose.
• You can cancel at any time during the trial through the Stripe Customer Portal, at no cost.
• Trials are limited to one per customer.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal, linked from the app.

Cancelling stops future billing. When you cancel, you keep access to paid features until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. After that, your account reverts to the free level of access. We do not refund the unused part of a billing period you have already paid for, except where required by law.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986. Those rights cannot be contracted out of. If the app fails to meet a guarantee under the Consumer Guarantees Act, you are entitled to the remedies that Act provides.

If you use BeefHQ for business purposes, the parties agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act does not apply, to the extent permitted by section 43 of that Act.

If something has gone wrong with your billing, contact us through the in-app feedback form and we will work with you to sort it out.

You own the farm, livestock, financial and compliance records you enter into BeefHQ. You grant us the limited licence needed to store, process and display that data in order to provide the app to you and the workers you authorise.

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, and for keeping your own records as required by law. We recommend exporting important records periodically. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information.

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose, or to store unlawful content.
• Share your account with people outside your farm business, or resell access.
• Attempt to access other users' data, or interfere with the app's security or operation.
• Scrape, copy or redistribute our schedule, forecast or news content commercially without our written consent.
• Invite workers who have not agreed to being given access.

We own the BeefHQ app, its name, branding, design, forecasting models and all content we supply, including document templates. You may use them only as part of using the app. Documents you generate for your own farm are yours to use in your farm business.

We aim to keep BeefHQ available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may change, and we may perform maintenance or update market data on our own schedule. Some features depend on third parties, including payment, mapping, market data and news sources, which may be unavailable at times.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to section 6, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost livestock value, lost sale opportunities, penalties, or losses arising from decisions you make based on information in the app.

Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the total amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim arose.

You can stop using BeefHQ and delete your account at any time from Profile & Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, or where payment fails and remains unpaid. If we close your account without cause, we will refund any prepaid unused period.

We may update these Terms. The "last updated" date will change and material changes will be notified in the app. Continuing to use BeefHQ after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Before taking formal action, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue directly.
